Teaching Supplies
There are many different teaching supplies that all vary in function. Some basic teaching items include things that a teacher would need throughout a semester or school year. They include things like plenty of pencils, pens, notebooks, folders, and binders. Pencils and pens are especially important, a teacher can go through a lot of pens in one school year. Also, depending on the grade a teacher teaches, it might be a good idea to get extra supplies, like pencils and scrap paper, for students in case one of them forgets something. If you teach in an elementary or middle school, craft supplies are useful for different activities, like glue, stickers, stamps, crayons, colored pencils, cardstock, construction paper and markers. Craft supplies like stickers and stamps are also helpful for grading. Also, a lot schools will either reimburse or provide many supplies for a teacher.
Organizational tools like planners and calendars are also incredibly important. A personal planner or calendar can help a teacher keep track of lesson plans and activities. Having a classroom calendar is also a good idea so students can know when things will be due and what the upcoming lessons will be. Storage can also be very important for the various supplies a teacher uses in the class. A decent size bag or tote is also an important teaching supply, so a teacher can carry all the supplies they might need for class, from essentials like calendars and notebooks, to craft supplies. It is a good idea to find a bag with a lot of pockets so it is easy to organize.
